FAQ

Kinesis Abstract 2

How do I join?

Membership at Kinesis is completely optional. The membership package is used by clients who want to get the most out of what we offer here at the studio.

There are many other ways of using the facilities here at Kinesis from pay-as-you-go to buying discounted blocks of sessions..

What do I wear?

You will need to be comfortable and be able to move around easily so we suggest you wear a t-shirt and non-restrictive track pants, leggings or long shorts.

You will not be wearing trainers or shoes but you will be required to wear clean socks. We have socks to buy if you forget them.

I’m a Beginner – how do I get started?

Equipment Classes:

Our beginner Pilates package includes a one to one session to introduce you to the principles of Pilates and give you an assessment so that our all teachers will be able to give you the best possible workout. You will then have 3 classes in a group setting within which you can put into practice your new routine.

Gyrotonic ® classes may be commenced at any stage as classes are usually taken privately or you can start with a friend by taking a Duet.

If you are or have been injured or are suffering from a specific structural problem, we require you to have an assessment with our resident Physiotherapist to guide our work with you. If you have a practitioner of your own, a letter from them with an assessment of your condition and any contraindications to specific exercises is required.

Mat Classes:

Have a look at the level of the class and select accordingly.

Open and Beginners classes are the ONLY classes suitable to beginners.

Our teachers all reserve the right to ask a student to come back to another class if they come to a class that is not suitable to their level. Please remember that this is both for the safety and enjoyment of all members of the class.

We assume that people attending classes at an intermediate or above level have taken at least 20 classes in that discipline and will take responsibility for their bodies by modifying and or leaving exercises as they see fit so that the class can maintain it’s momentum.

How do I book?

Any class or treatment can be booked by calling our reception on 020 7229 2100. The reception hours are 9:00 - 2:00am and 3:00 - 7:00pm. If we do not answer your call immediately, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Classes can also be requested online by going to our timetabe page and clicking on the online booking system bar.

Cancellation Policy

We enforce a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all group classes and 48 hours for private and duet classes. All cancellations outside these times will be charged in full. Phone messages are time tagged so sessions will be cancelled or charged accordingly.
